BRRR! DO YOU FEEL THE CHILL
IN THE AIR?
The homeless certainly do! For more than 30 years, St. Luke’s parishioners have seen to it that EVERY man at the Stockton Men’s Single Shelter is remembered at Christmas. Our Youth Group organizes this event…but it’s a whole parish enterprise. St. Luke CRE provides warm pairs of socks, our school collects a variety of ‘stocking stuffers’ (toiletry items), the pre-school brings a little cheer with oranges and candy canes, and YOU, our generous parish families are encouraged to purchase a hat, XL pair of men’s gloves, and a warm scarf for a homeless brother in Christ. The hat, gloves & scarf can be placed boxed (but unwrapped) under the ‘Giving Trees’ at either side of the altar beginning Nov. 26.

Our Youth Group’s Fall Kick-off got a BIG Surprise with a visit from Sean Bryan, ‘the Papal Ninja’ (in the white and yellow Vatican colors), one of the top 3 finalists in NBC’s 2017 American Ninja Warrior. Along with a few back flips, and Ninja Warrior stories, Sean spoke to our teens about his Catholic Faith and the importance of daily prayer. Thanks for the visit Sean! Come back any time!
